That's not actually 100% accurate. If you have your FAA license, and you receive permission from the national park, you are in fact allowed to fly in national parks.

A national park will not grant permission to those without a license, but typically will for those who do.

So the short answer is, if you have your pilot's license then yes you are usually able to fly in national parks.

This guy is an amateur photographer by hobby. He isn't a pilot.
