I was talking about Gilmore's guaranteed money @ $40 mil
Bouye is getting a little more per year but "only" guaranteed $26 mil, which is prob butler territory within a few mil. Either way he will be getting paid top tier CB money and will be our highest paid defender more than likely

How likely is it that he comes here.
Reports now make it seem like there's a good chance he stays in NE

Gilmore only has $31 mil fully guaranteed. You are correct in that Bouye only has $26 mil fully guaranteed.
The rest of their guarantees are injury only at the moment.
Gilmore does have better long term security, receiving $18 mil in signing bonus compared to Bouye's $10 mil.
Edit:
Just for reference this is what that means in terms of security.
Gilmore cut in the 3rd year has $10.8 mil dead money, $7.2 mil in the 4th, and $3.6 mil in the last year.
Bouye cut in the 3rd year has $6 mil dead money, $4 mil in the 4th, and $2 mil in the last year.
Realistically Bouye's deal is a 2 year deal that the Jags can cut bait with if he doesn't live up to his potential. It's a very team friendly deal.
Gilmore on the other hand isn't really cuttable until the 4th year, and then likely only as a June 1st cut. This is a deal that heavily favors the player.
I'm actually surprised the Pats signed this kind of deal, but Gilmore does have more skins while Bouye has one year as a starter.
