Bachelor party in New Orleans

Planning a bachelor party in New Orleans around August. Looking for an Air BnB for around 8 people. Trying to stay in or close to the French Quarter so we're walking distance from the action.
Any places to avoid/stay away from? Advice on things to do/don't do? I haven't lived in Louisiana since I was a kid and most of the time I visit is for LSU games. All info would be appreciated

I'd stay in the warehouse and walk to the quarter if you want to go there.
Depending on your age you'll find a lot of great bars and restaraunts in the warehouse / cbd

You're either going to pay a ton or end up in the hood

shut the party down or take it indoors before midnight. Anytime after that you're gambling with her life.

August is a good time to go, as due to the heat, that is an off month for tourists for the most part. Any hotel should be a bit cheaper, so shop around. There are 100's of hotels there, so just google & you can get a selection of locations and prices. The back part of the Quarter is mostly for those who practice an alternative lifestyle; not dangerous, just what they are. Stay in the core areas of the Quarter at night, stay off Canal St at nite as an example. Make sure at least one in your party is sober enough to know what is going on. On spotting NOPD, turn & walk the other way, just to be smart.

Walking around the Quarter in August doesn't sound like a good time. At least you'll get some cheap rates that time of year

Last one I did in the city was something like:
Port of Call - food and monsoons
Pat O's patio, then piano bar
Famous Door
Hustler
Didn't want to be running all around town. Plus, we were all solidly drunk after Port of Call

If you are doing August do it the weekend of the Red Dress Run.
I actually think the RDR is well past its glory days and actually kinda sucks now, its a tailored-made event for a great bachelor party.

I just did one.
Stayed at an AirBNB on dupre st - wasn't the best area but we were never at the house.
Quick lyft/uber from anywhere.
