What are these green clumps? Fescue? Came out in cooler weather.

not sure, but I see a few clumps of that in my yard this year as well...I think it is kind of cool looking!

Looks like a fescue.

Have you overseeded with rye before? Could have came in with that seed.

Yeah, looks like a creeping fescue. Not sure off the top of my head, but I think Image is labeled for killing fescue in southern lawns.

Google images for "annual bluegrass." Looks like what I have. County extension identified for me. Mine have tons of small white seeds in each clump and disappear with warmer weather. Apparently, you have to wait until Fall and apply a pre emergent over several seasons to control, if this is what you have.
