The CIA is the threat.
Intelligence agencies have been able to tap phone lines for decades. Does that make them enemies of the American people?

It didn't when there was due process and oversight to make sure that they were not intruding on the privacy rights of citizens absent good cause. If there ever were protections in the past, there sure as hell are none now. Our rights to privacy have been completely erroded and all accountability has been stripped away from those very people entrusted with protecting our most sacred rights.
Thank goodness for wikileaks providing a voice and a platform for whistle-blowers to expose the wanton corruption within our government.
