Just want to go away somewhere, how do you guys find those $40 flights to Chicago? Where are you looking? I don't care where I just want to leave Nashville for a weekend.

Google Flights, but if you get Skyscanner and set your home location to the nearest airport. You can search by month and it will show the cheapest cities/countries to fly round trip.

Have you been to philly before? Looks like frontier has some $92 roundtrip BNA-PHL in late april on weekends. Orlando is also $97 for the entire month of april. If you're just going for a weekend Thurs night-Sun, I'd give frontier a try and just pack a small carryon
Now if you're interested in southwest because they have a hub in nashville, go to their main site and click on the calendar feature. You have to type in the destinations, but just look at different cities and see when there's cheap flights.

Cuse, I'm trying a few different ideas, looking for cheap flights if you can help. Would be flying out of NOLA. Domestically Philadelphia ( visit friends) would be one destination or we were thinking of the Dominican Republic or Nassau for just us. April or May timeframe, 2 adults. Thank you

309 out of Nola to Nassau at the end of April, early May.
360 to the DR in April
Dates for 212 in April for Philly and 216 for May.

Thank you, I'm sure it's cheaper if I would book it later in the year, huh.

It varies...
Alot of it has to do with the ability to check multiple times a day and patience. Like looking right now those same flights are all a few dollars more than they were last night.

tduecen has you covered it looks like
No, sometimes if airlines haven't sold a lot of seats for later this month or next month they'll have a quick sale to get rid of some inventory cheaply. Meaning you can get roundtrip to philly for under $100 on frontier, you'll just have to stay on the lookout. Set up an alert on google flights, it will track MSY-PHL or MSY-NAS flights/prices for you and let you know when it goes up or down.

Use a travel agent.
They can search ALL airlines for entire days in about 1 minute.
