Have a shot at an older gheenoe. Price seems good. Any advice is appreciated.

I use mine to hunt ducks on the river. Great boat to hunt out of when the river is down. It's easy to maneuver around in shallow water esp on creeks.

I had one for about 5 years. Bought the hull at factory in Titusville, and put a 25hp Yamaha 4 stroke tiller steer elect start, even a foot control 36 lb Minn Kota. Later added an electric jack plate. had the live well in center console. I used to work a lot in florida so I would bring in down with me easy to trailer. But the boat was a blast it was truly like a go cart as I would run mid 30 with two people and gear it felt like 50.

I fished a lot of areas around fort myers, and dulac. Made some trips and got soaked as its not a dre ride> But fun. I spent about 4400 all in used it for 5 years and sold it for 4200 in Naples area had two guys ready to fight for it. will look for photos noting cosmic looking just brown came.

I have a 1961 17' Alumicraft. It's way more durable than a Grumman, and I prefer aluminum.

Though, I did have to make a pontoon for going out in the bigger waters. My balance isn't what it used to be.

I love the Gheenoe concept. I would love to have one. Any idea how they hold up? I'm rough on stuff and can see myself dragging bottom and running over stuff.
