Why isn't JJ being fired a no-brainer?

Besides standing on the sidelines trying to be the worlds most liked head coach, he has not done a single thing for the program. In fact, he had the best player in the world last year and couldn't even make the NCAA tournament.

So why hasn't it been done already? How come we literally have to sit and wait to see what Alleva does after the season? It shouldn't be a 50-50 shot anymore, he has got to go, right?

There is no value to firing a coach during the season.

Where did you get the idea it's a 50-50 shot?

Yes he has to go. all the money talk from that F. King Alexander nimrod from a year ago should not come into play on this decision. LSU is better off paying Jones out of his contract than trying to keep him around for one more year. In essence, LSU cannot afford to not fire him.

because you don't fire your coach simply to get retribution for the fanbase....which is the only reason to fire a coach during the season, IMO.

it makes no difference whether they fire him now or a few days from now when the season ends.

I'm pretty sure that JJ being fired is a formality, but I've read that after April 1st his buyout drops significantly; so, that's why nothing has been done.

Alleva and his boss Fking could screw up a wet dream. Assume nothing, even if it seems very obvious.

This is the only answer. He's a goner. Sorry JJ.

Yeah, and letting him run LSU basketball into the ground is great. It's not about the fans, it's about the team. He has turned us into a joke and Alleva needs to show us he is in charge and in control of the situation. You know, like when Les was fired mid season and Coach O turned things around for us.

This isn't like football. Can't compare the two. There was nothing to play for.

And this staff needs to be cleaned out. Unlike football, we don't have a bunch of great assistants.

It's not that hard to figure out. Plus, firing 2 coaches mid season would look like shite on Alleva.

They're just waiting to the end of the season. frick. Be patient. Alleva tried to fire Miles before the season, F_king fricked him, then he actually fired Miles before the season "to get a head start on the coaching search and everyone bitched because we wound up with someone already on staff. He's waiting til the end of the season this time.

It's as if our AD can't do anything at all to please some of you guys.

If he isn't fired then I will not be renewing my three season tickets. No reason to have tickets until JJ is fired. We will lose tomorrow most likely by 20 like all but two sec games

John Brady was fired mid-season and Butch Pierre took over. Though as I recall, Skip was the guy who pulled the trigger, and Brady had worn out his welcome by that point. So it's not like there's no precedent.
