So you're saying there is a viable plan that could be enacted today that keeps the ACA's protections for people with pre-existing conditions, doesn't remove lifetime caps, and costs people less than the ACA does?

Other than high risk policies...what do you suggest?

1. replace ACA with Medicare. you cut costs 5% off the top when you eliminate BC/BS and use Medicare instead.
That will end insurance companies for all but the blue chip stock coupon people.

2. federal medical schools. we do not have enough family practice MDs.
Holland has twice the MDs per capita as we do. They make half what ours do.
see any correlation?

3. Tort reform. that will reduce insurance costs for malpractice. the cost savings will be passed on to the consumer.

What an uninformed comment. Medicare sucks unless you buy a separate supplemental insurance policy from a private insurance company.

And LOL at someone saying ACA saves Americans money... the ACA premiums aren't frozen, and any increase is eaten by the American taxpayer. In the liberal mind, this is considered "free."

Medical schools are not the limiting factor in MDs. Residencies are. The AMA controls that. Do research before making suggestions.
