Did Deich pimp his homerun or something? What was the catcher's issue?

Not sure , but it looked like the catcher said something first .
Maybe Deich was admiring it too long .
He'll , I would admire that one myself .

Catcher took offense to his "pace" around the bases. Nothing too much IMO, just the reaction after your pitching getting owned the entire series.

that's typically what any catcher does. Never show up my pitcher. Hey, I used to do the same thing. And I played 3rd and second. Would always give anyone that did that some noise and well got myself into trouble for it. That's my guy so I'm going to take up for him when he is disrespected. Just how the game is supposed to be played

This. You hit a HR. Congratulations. You're that good, you're supposed to hit HRs. Get around the bases. It's poor sportsmanship. Have a little class. Act like you've hit a HR before and that you'll do it again.

You're allowed to celebrate an HR. You're also allowed to protest celebrating. It's all part of the game of baseball

Dude hit a massive homerun. Only time I ever had a problem with it was Carlos Gomez against the Braves. But Gomez was acting like a bitch.

Sorry dude. It's not like NFL where they do douchbag dances and what not.
Did he watch it fly too long? His bat made one too many flips in the air when he tossed it?
He dared have a grin while rounding the bases?
Did he not round the bases fast enough?

I think the catcher was just frustrated from his team being baseball raped all weekend.

I just watched the replay and deichmann ran at a normal homerun pace. Maryland should stop being so sensitive. Catcher is just pissed because they've been throwing meatballs all weekend.

This whole bat flip thing and he watched it too long so opponents act like little bitches needs to stop. So watch if he flipped the bat or watches his home run. You don't like it pitch better. Its not like he stared down the pitcher or said something to the pitcher or pointed into the opponents dugout.

Also, how many walks did Deichman get this weekend? Intentionally or under the table intentionally. Sure on base is the goal, but I'm sure he was frustrated from being pitched around. He better get used to it. Its going to happen a lot.

Also, have all of his homers been two run homers with a runner on first?

I'm okay with someone staring at the homerun and maybe a bat flip. I'm also okay with the catcher sticking up for his guy.

Me too. Nobody was in the wrong there. No big deal. There is a bomb to pimp ratio, and I feel like Deichman was well within that number.

He's gonna quit seeing so many fastballs soon, though. I don't think there's anyone's behind him in the lineup to protect him. His protection is gonna have to come from the top of the order getting on base for him.

The only way to stop it is to best it. Good luck with that one!
