I think football fans are worse period, especially with LSU. The baseball fans have always come off as very knowledgeable, and the games are not a bunch of drunks yelling at a ref or player.

i think for whatever reason, that's just the two sports in general.

Baseball fans tend to enjoy the game itself and it's subtleties. Yeah they want their team to win and are passionate about it, but at the end of the day, it's the game they love.

if i had to guess it's because damn near every kid in america has played some level of organized baseball. Many played their entire childhoods. And because of it they understand and respect its difficulty a whole a lot more than they do other sports. They tend to know just how hard it is to play at even the high school level, let alone the top tier of College ball or beyond.

Whereas football, unless you were born with freakish speed or a borderline giant, they probably didn't play it very long. So the appreciation for just how hard it is to play at that level isn't the same. Everyone is a great player and coach on Madden, so why isn't my team scoring 70+ every game?
