Wonder why this thread again....because Jrue doesn't deserve 25 mil....others are trying to fess that he does. 25 mil can buy somebody else...

Well he lost literally every back court player he was used to playing with.

That might affect somethings.

And you aren't getting a player near his caliber at PG in free agency. It ain't happenin

Jfc you have no clue

He was putting up stupid good numbers for about 13 games.

Then his entire back court gets traded and he plays against Pat Beverly in the first game, arguably the best perimeter defender in the league.

Not to mention his shite coach.

GTFO with these asinine hot takes

Are yall retarded? We just lost a game because our role players didn't hit a single 3 point shot and combined for 14 points. Jrue had 18 himself.

1 of those role players was the guy New Orleans was able to sign with space. The other was out for personal reasons but hasn't been much better.

And y'all think the problem is we need to get rid of Jrue and sign more Moore and Hills?

No, I'd rather keep just not on max and play him as a 2 guard and sign a pass first Pg.

Jrue signing a max or below max deal ain't going to matter. He will be the last player signed during the offseason and will be signed with bird rights. The only person his final number matters to is Mr. Benson.

The argument is will you find someone who could come in and take cap space, but then also leave room for other potential role players this offseason. I would assume that we will have more flexibility to build the depth for the team accepting Jrue is our best 3rd option. I think he is a solid 3rd option long term.

I am sure crewz will come along to correct if I am wrong.

Not that it would change my decision on whether to max Jrue out or not (I would), but the amount of money that he makes will eventually affect whether we're in the tax or not. Being in the tax or close to it affects team exceptions. That's a ways away from happening, but eventually Jrue getting a max vs., say, 90% of a max will have an impact.

It's crazy we're even discussing this. Jrue should be loving the fact that we have cousins and the team should be flourishing.

He's had Cousins on the team for 2 games and, what, 2 practices? It takes time to develop chemistry. Christ, the 2010-11 Heat started off 8-7. Finished 58-24.

How hard is it to figure out playing with almost the same player as AD. He should have a double double here on out.
