Absolutely, it has to end now and a real commitment needs to be made to a sport that can promote our brand on a national level.

What do you think they are going to say if and when CJJ is fired and they call them...and you know they are going to be the first calls made.

If LSU keeps JJ, we can keep the streak alive, to 2017 season and beyond...

Joe Alleva ladies and gentlemen!!

The program had quit in Jones at the end of last season. Instead of stopping the bleeding and allowing a new coach a decent foundation to build from, Joe decided it was just better to tear the program to the ground so no one would really want a job that was nearly a complete rebuild.

Alleva personifies incompetentence. And don't give me the bullshite about tennis, gymnastics, etc are doing great. Who fricking cares? Those sports don't bring in enough revenue to even support themselves. Plus, Breaux and Maneri were here before him. Giving Joe credit for thier success is like giving him credit for the success of Duke basketball.

I'm sure some of the few JA backers will come in here and say "well at least LSU hasn't done anything to be put on probabtion." Great! You're not supposed to cheat! We're giving Alleva credit form making sure the rules are followed. Put him in the AD HOF.

His football hire is still very much a question and he's air balled all three of his basketball hires

Temple and Dale will blame LSU for not supporting the basketball program enough.

It's their fault LSU is in this mess.

Based on some of the rumors. LSU would be better off to cut ties with them completely. I know some of the very wealthy boosters like to have a say in some college football programs. But Temple and Dale give very little monetarily to the program but have a tremendous amount of influence on hires and recruits.

I can see this. I can also see Dale blaming the evils of social media and its minions for cowardly tearing down a good man. And maybe throwing in an NCAA Nazi reference just for good measure, even though it does not apply here.

I do think Johnny is a good man relative to many in his profession, but he's been given his chance and the bottom has fallen out.

I'm not even sure it's about Alleva wanting to tear the team completely down before making a change. Everything he and King have done the one constant is pinching pennies. Even though boosters have volunteered to foot some of the bill they've still strung it out as long as they could. Why? So they can save a little extra these guys are money grubbing losers who don't get that in sports, winning cures all. Yes I'm hoping Jones is done and that Coach O does great things here but I know that until these two, especially King, is gone we will always be on egg shells.

Reath needs to come oug of the game once the clock hits 1 minute. Another late game meltdown, not to mention guard putting on a dribbling exhibition on the defense...looks like an and 1 promo tour. Will you all please stop it with the this team has great talent talk as a way to justify something. Fact is this team isn't good, even when you dress it up pretty with AB's scoring as of late. Everyone seems to only want to mention his defense

Dale already knows and seems fine with it.

quote:

“I’ve jokingly said that we got to look at the positives. Now I say this facetiously but the positive is this — the SEC has 14 teams and when you finish at the bottom of the conference, it’s so far down that you wind up first in the Mexican League and you get a trophy.”

quote:

“This is a big business, with big dollars,” Brown said. “This won’t be the first or last time a coach gets fired.

..that way 109 years from now we will not need to worry about someone breaking the streak again.
