What exactly has Gentry done to give you a GLIMMER of belief he can get anything done?
D'Antoni came in and IMMEDIATELY affected Houston's offense. Look at them now ----

Gentry needs to be fired, he should have never been hired. IMO , he was only hired because Demps was too fragile and intimidated to hire JVG.
Speaking of which ------ is this team built for JVG or what?

Point is that the consensus was that D'Antoni was terrible and the game had passed him by after stints in LA and NY
I think Gentry could be great with the right roster. But he likely won't have it here unless CP3 comes or Dell can pull a playmaking wing out of his butt.
I think most of us agree they can do better than Gentry with the roster they are constructing (I want Messina), but I think calling Gentry a "bad coach" is just lazy. Because most coaches are dependent on having a roster that fits their scheme. D'Antoni didn't forget how to coach and suddenly remember.
