I'm aware. We were also recruiting him really hard and a lot of people around here thought we were going to pull him, esp considering the DC at MLB at the time. Seemed like an ideal situation for him here.

That said, hard to recruit against 15k cash.......

Taking the offer of NCAA immunity and getting to keep the cash another school gave you doesn't make you a snitch. It just makes you smart.

ETA: Assuming he's the recruit in question in the first place.

Incredibly shortsighted perspective.

Would you still consider him "smart" for ratting us out if he went to MSU after LSU gave some kid 15k cash and NCAA granted him immunity?

I love LSU as much as anyone, but if you don't think there's some level of behind closed doors exchanges happening at all big programs (LSU included) you're just naive. Every major programs boosters are doing it to some degree or another.

Well, he would get to continue playing, and he would get to keep the money State gave him, so yes my answer would not change.

You do realize that you're calling the guy that suggested we offer him more naïve, right?

What I'm trying to imply is the danger of that kind of precedent being set. I still think you're failing to see the bigger picture.

What does this have to do with Ole Miss? Everyone pretty much thought Lewis was paid when it went down. But I don't see what this has to do with the Ole Miss news.

It's standard operating procedure for the NCAA, they aren't setting any precedents here. Have you never heard of Lester Earl?

I think you're failing to acknowledge that you don't know shite.

The OP is presupposing that everyone who reads this thread knows that Leo Lewis is the recruit that signed with another school that has been mentioned in the Ole Miss news.

At this point in time, it's all alleged though.
