How do they know there are planets there? They can't see them can they? Are they not too far away?

I think they said 40 light years. So pack a tooth brush and a shitload of TP.

Sometimes I swear that NASA just guesses on some shite and the science community just accepts it so they seem like they're making progress. I know my theory is bullshite but I always think that when they say stuff that just seems impossible to know with our current tech.

They can detect the dimming of the Star as the planet passes in front of it and also detect what they call the "wooble." Which is the star itself actually shifting left and right due to the planets gravity.

They can see the star, and as the planets pass, the star dims just a tiny bit... they measure that process and frequency, and calculate the results

Here's a video that explains it pretty well.

How do they figure this shite out with it being 39 light years away and no eyes on the source?

Sounds like a lot of speculation to me.

Cause, NASA says so .... Last year they detected gravitational waves - Billions of years ago two black holes had sex and created gravitational waves . This year its this EXO planet BS .. No proof of anything , just observed bending light and articulated with animations ..They have to put something out to continue to get those billions ...

I almost make a crack about anti-science conservative idiots but it's just too easy

OK, They don;t actually SEE the planets, but they can see the changes in reflected light when the planets pass in front of their sun, they can also measure the "wobble" of their sun - the gravitational effects of these planets on their sun.
