Any recs for electric hedge trimmer? Any clue as to whether battery or cord is more powerful?

I have $100 gift card to Lowes so would likely purchase there. Hedges are just above backyard fence height. Would probably use 4 times a year.

I searched but didn't pull anything up for hedge trimmers.

I've had one of these for a few years and it works great. I only use it about 3-4 times a year. It's corded and I've managed to cut the cord a couple of times.

I've had both battery and corded. I prefer the cord because it doesn't run out.

I too have cut more than one cord. It's amazingly easy to do.

I am about to buy THIS one. My last one got flooded and tossed out. It is 4.0 amps where others are only 3.5 or so.

Yes, get gas. Gas cuts so much faster than electric.

LOWES This is the one I got last year. Longer cutting edge and rotating grip make shaping bushes easier. Unless you have to trim further than a 100' extension cord can reach from you house, save your money on an electric.

The problem with the battery powered is it's too heavy & the balance is off. Just clumsy to work with.

Not sure if Lowes has the same one, but Home Depot has the electric Black and Decker HT-22.Bought one 2 yrs ago,i service about 20 accounts a season with it and its been trouble free for me. Unless you trim hedges for a living i would stay as far away from a gas trimmer as possible
