OT photographers - What filter should I buy?

I have a $200 Best Buy gift card. Since there really isn't any lenses or major equipment in that price range, I figure I would buy a really nice filter (or two).
I am pretty naive when it comes to filters.
I need a 77mm filter.
Any suggestions?

Facebook filter, some of those girls take the best pictures, has to work great for some of the bait and switch I've seen

Totally depends on what type of photography you are doing. Video? Portraits? Action? Interior? Exterior?
No way anyone can answer this other than to offer that you can buy clear sacrificial filters for all your lenses strictly to protect your glass.

Be wary. Some filters can decrease your dynamic range.

Circular polarizer.
Get the best one they offer.

Does Best Buy even have a decent selection? Last time I looked it was pretty bottom line crap.

Neutral Density filters are cool, Circular polarizers come in handy as well
