I haven't looked into this myself, but how was the proliferation of legalized weed impacted the cartels?

Do they have less money? Do they just focus their efforts on other drugs?

Yes, they lost money.

Yes they have doubled down on "Ice" and Heroin to offset the lost revenue.

This.

Coke has gotten cheaper and more commonplace, for one example.

Legalizing weed didn't lose the cartels anything, they just spend their time on meth and heroin. Meth has become a huge import for cartels and is way more cost effective
