Have yall seen "Pointe-Marie" going up next to L'auberge? Looks like Perkins Rowe but with more space. It'd be cool to see that area of River Road turn into a nice stretch of BR in a couple years.

LINK

Guess L'auberge took too long to get that second hotel tower going that they were talking about though.

Meh, not close enough to where someone can walk over there.

Saw the preliminaries for some of it. Looks like they are trying to do it right.

If it's next to Leburge, it's less than a 30 minute walk.

I walked to my buddies house drunk off my arse at 4am from leburge and he lives in Nicholson lakes. Took less than 30 min.

Lots of high end developments going on in this part of town. The end of Bluebonnet Blvd is supposed to blow up within the next 3 years. Retail spaces opening on those big open fields and another high end neighborhood being built in conjunction with The Preserve at Harveston to join in with University Club.

Am I supposed to be outraged that they're gentrifying an area heavily populated by minorities, or that money is being spent in South Baton Rouge and North BR isn't getting their fair share?

Please let me know so I can direct my anger accordingly.

My question is will this place have a live music venue that will book the decent music acts that Lauberge has completely shite the bed and failed at procuring?
