They feel "foreign" in your mouth for a while and eating may feel weird. Getting them on is usually a 2 visit process. 1st visit they will grind what's left of your tooth down to a little stump, take impressions, and give you a temporary. 2nd visit they will set the new crown over the stump.

You're not gonna like the costs you find. My last 2 crowns, 4 years ago, were about $900 a piece with insurance.
