My docs suggestion on the BP was to Lower the Salt.
Just wanted throw out a datapoint. I do 4000-5000mg of salt daily while following ketogenic diet.
My BP dropped from 150/110 before eating this way, and now 110/70. So I don't fear away from sodium.
My HDL is 65, LDL 120 (NMR cholesterol test confirmed to be majority "large particles"), Triglyerides 47, A1C 4.4, Fasting Glucose 80.
My diet is basically steak, ground beef, caesar salads with grilled chicken, smoked/fried unbreaded chicken wings, cracklin, beef jerky, nuts, fibrous vegetables, and Irish Whiskey.

I am so confused by all of these diets. Some say don't eat certain foods that we grew thinking were good for you while others say eat plenty. Is there no real agreements on what is good and what is bad?
