I don't follow this McGregor guy, but if this fight is boxing rules, he's going to get his arse handed to him really quickly. His hand speed appears really slow. They are going to have to modify the rules to make it interesting. If it's mma rules, I doubt Mayweather has much of a chance.

This fight will never happen.

Mayweather won't even throw a punch until the 10th round.

Ok you named 2, one I don't know. How long ago did he "used to be an aggressive fighter?" We are talking the future not the past. Corrales was early '01 and Gatti was '05. Great examples

Naaaahhhh. Among the quickest hands in MMA.

Still would lose to May.

Anyone saying he'll get his arse kicked have probably never seen Floyd fight. He'll counterpunch and run for 10 rounds and win.

I'm not a Mayweather fan. McGregor will be fighting on quicksand. He will get countered by a barrage after every wild punch he throws. He will get frustrated and swing harder. Floyd will play basketball and catch a movie after this fight.

Mayweather and Dana have both released statements that said the fight is no where near making a deal. Mayweather went as far as to say it's all rumors and he's happily retired.

A Mayweather boxing match is boring. They can take someone else's money. It's tough transitioning from today's MMA to a Mayweather fight.

Just look at your posts in this thread. It's clear you don't know what you're talking about.

This is what you wrote. I gave you two examples. Being that you wrote ever I didn't think a time limit was in question. Not even sure why I am even explaining to somebody who obviously doesn't know shite about boxing being that you said you didn't know one of the two I mentioned. Nice talk.

Several people say Floyd will "destroy" McGregor. By destroy do you mean run for 10 rounds and easily win a boring fight? Who has Floyd ever destroyed? Seriously?

He doesn't have to run from McGregor.

You do know Floyd has knocked actual boxers out right? Why do you think McGregor would last 3 rounds in an actual boxing match? He would knock McGregor out and it wouldn't be difficult for him at all.

Boxing is as different from MMA as football is from basketball. McGregor has almost no transferable skills.

26 of Floyds 49 victories are by knockout

I wouldn't go that far. McGregor is a striker. He has plenty of transferable skills. Mayweather is just so far ahead of him that the gap cannot be bridged.

How did this become an exclusively boxing event? Why was there never a debate to allow limited MMA moves?

Mayweather averages about 70 Million per fight.

Connor's highest payout ever is 20 million.

That is why Floyd gets to dictate any potential terms.

Well I meant transferable in a sense that a skill would be useful for him.

Nothing he does in MMA would help him vs Mayweather because he doesn't do them well enough.
