Connor isn't even the best boxer in his division. Nate Diaz is better at boxing

Is this the thread where the people who claimed Pacquiao actually beat Mayweather even though Mayweather landed 148 punches/67 jabs to Pacquiao's 81 punches/18 jabs that we shouldn't underestimate Connor McGregor?

If this fight actually happens and it's a boxing match, McGregor will get flat out embarrassed

Connor's almost at his UFC expiration date anyway. Might as well milk him for a bigger payday if he's stupid enough him to catch a beating from Floyd.

I actually think this fight would be a win no matter what situation for McGregor. As we all know he's all about money, and this fight will give him the biggest pay day of his career. Also while he would more than likely lose (I'm not going to say it's impossible for him to win, just really not likely) it would give him more exposure than he's ever had and possibly open bigger doors for him even in a loss because no one actually expect him to win.

If somehow he does manage to win, he would explode in popularity even more than he already has.

Almost 30 and with another loss they'll be looking for the next big thing. Ride him for a bigger payday before that.

pretty simple. CM will dominate if UFC rules.

FM will dominate if boxing rules.

I get the feeling you don't know jack about MMA. 30 isn't some magical cutoff age like NFL RB.

If Mayweather gets hit more than ten times than McGregor should consider that a win. If it is boxing match Money Mayweather will sleep walk through a UD.

Ok?

Anderson Silva prime = 30s
Chuck Liddell prime = 30s
Randy Couture prime = 30s and 40s
Matt Hughes prime = 30s

Again, 30 isn't the drop dead date for fighters. You're going to cut bait with McGregor because he's 17 months away from 30?

Not at all. It could be a huge loss for both him, and UFC. Which is why strong is right, Dana wont allow it.

If Connor goes out there and gets his arse kicked, it will devalue the UFC.(not saying that makes sense, but that is what will happen)

Cutting bait and cashing in aren't the same thing.

Until I saw how much Conor brought into the UFC in 2016, I was of the opinion that UFC should agree to the deal. But with that amount of money rolling in from your best fighter, you don't put him in the position to get embarrassed by a non-UFC fighter.

He's 28. The UFC greats were PPV killers well into their 30s.

Your use of the age 30 doesn't make any sense. We aren't talking about NFL running backs.

He grossed $247 million (minimum) for the UFC in 2016.

Why risk it?
