Double digit senate democrats voted against moving Mattis confirmation out of committee, nearly all of the house democrats voted against the waiver and one senate democrat voted against his final confirmation and the hearings weren't exactly easy for him as they tried to get him to make inflammatory statements that kneecap Trump's foreign policy.

Shulkin had little to no news coverage, no opposition whatsoever for committee and final votes, and the hearings was a walk in the park as democrats didn't even bother to grill him there.
