the december surge in 3pt shooting notwithstanding buddy hield is not by any measure having a noteworthy rookie year. whether this is to be expected or whether this should be concerning in any way is up for debate
whats not up for debate is that his traditional and advanced stats range from well-below average to "cover your eyes"

He has been exactly the guy all objective observers had predicted. He can shoot well but finishing at the rim and handling the ball in traffic are poor and will need to improve. And he doesn't do anything else at an above average level to help you win (assists, rebs, steals, defense, etc)
This is exactly who he should be in his rookie year. The only thing that sucks is this franchise cares more about winning tonight than developing, so he has a quick hook because Moore is a better player right now
I wish this franchise would just play him 25-28 every night regardless and let him go through the growing pains
