Out of our control. This board is at least 80%-90% pro tank. But if they are going to make "win now" trades, trading a pick for a guy early in his rookie contract is about the lowest potential for error move they can make.

How is trading for this guy and what he is likely to become as a player better than keeping options open that could land you better or different kinds of players?
I agree with corndeaux in that if they're thinking of doing this they should see what other moves they can make that are better. But if they follow this up with packaging Jones for a 1st, I don't hate this move even though I do hate the direction.
I said several weeks back I was on board with trading Holiday and tanking. The team is .500ish with AD/Jrue and while I do see potential for internal improvement, they just don't have any external moves that are likely to add another B or better player to the mix outside of getting lucky in the draft or hitting on a reclamation project like Lance.

To me it's not about exploring the other trades available now. It's asking - What kind of players can I get for my 2018 pick this summer or next February and are those guys likely to help me more than Okafor?
