The only time the Braves choked was when they lost to the Yankees in 1996. Making it to five World Series over an eight year span is a remarkable accomplishment and shows that the Braves weren't chokers. None of the great teams in recent years (Giants, Cardinals, Theo's Red Sox) have come close to matching that accomplishm
You may categorize it that way. But the Braves lost 4 World Series, and in 3 of them they had the superior record. The 4th they were only worse by one game. And I respect what the braves did a lot. But they should have won more than they did

They also beat a Cleveland Indians team that had ten more regular season wins than them in 1995. It shows you that a) the postseason is a crap schoot and b) regular season record isn't necessarily indicative of which team will fare better over the course of a short series.

The braves ran into some buzz saws in the playoffs. 1995-2000 may have been the best 5 year span ever in terms of the number of great teams. There may have been 14 separate teams in that span that would have beaten every World Series champ from 2005-2016.
