What makes the situation different is that there are multiple big time D-1 schools in Florida and Texas. There are also much larger populations. It's not unusual for Florida kids to not go to FSU...or not got to Miami or UF..
LSU is the only major program in the state. That makes it appear different....and maybe it actually is.

It would be nice if other teams weren't able to so easily find a La HS coach that's so ready & willing to come home and pillage the state's best talent by negatively recruiting against the flagship institution. Seems the coaches and kids can't wait to hurt or embarrass LSU along the way.
I think fans are bothered by how it's happening more than the fact kids are leaving the state.

Lsu is really tha only major university in Louisiana. That's the major difference
