that worked for the Jr. High I went to.
had an athletics meeting early in the season.

we had only football and basketball for boys
volleyball and softball for girls.

one girl's dad raised a stink about and girls basketball. demanded she play (not tryout, PLAY) for the boys. half the parents cheered him.

then someone's dad says "hell if she can play basketball, does that mean our sons can play softball since they don't have a baseball team."

girls' dad immediately dropped his argument.
