Bennie and the Jets isn't my favorite but I don't dislike it.
These I just don't like:

Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Island Girl
Philadelphia Freedom
In the early 70's he was my favorite musician, easily. But he lost me with Caribou and Captain Fantastic.

Yep that's about when I started losing interest too.
Some of his more recent stuff isn't bad and seems more along the lines of the early '70's material.

I think most would put Don't Let The Sun towards the top of their favorite EJ songs. The others you listed, I don't disagree with.
