What if the data that Trump's staff has is conflicting with what the EPA wants to release?
Under what circumstances would the White House have data independent of the EPA? I don't think there are scientists on Trump's staff, so they wouldn't have any method of conducting independent data collection.

I guess they could solicit some data collection from another agency or a state, but even in that case, I don't see why you wouldn't want all data released, since it would be better for conflicts to be resolved by peer review rather than the administration thumbing the scale for a preferred conclusion.

You don't think the admin could have access to outside data that could counter the EPA's data? I think there could very well be independent study data that could disagree with EPA info. Why release the EPA info as gospel just because it's the EPA?
