As an engineering professor, this makes perfect sense. I've made it a point to tell all my students that if there's ever a topic in any class they don't seem to be understanding, go to YouTube and watch the lectures from other professors at other schools until you understand it.

If one were so motivated they could learn all of the material for degrees in ever engineering discipline for free with google/YouTube/etc. schools themselves are essentially certification centers that prove you're competent in what you claim.

What in the hell are they paying you for then? Those students are your customers. You are failing them. You exist only to teach them. Period. Perfect example of what's wrong with the current system
