Definitely interesting. I agree that higher ed, as we know it, is unsustainable, but I don't forsee his model becoming widely accepted.

Well did you see the internet coming?

Look higher ed is on a bubble. We should not invest another cent in brick and mortar.

There may be a function for some of the brick and mortar we have but the peak days of on campus residency and classrooms has come and gone.

We can't continue to graduate kids with all this debt and degrees of dubious value. We can't just keep throwing money at the bureaucracy.

I read an article once about online higher ed in South Korea. The instructors are paid by their audience online and the ones that do the best in teaching the materials for test are of course most popular. One guy was making like $500,000 a year because his following was so large.

It will happen here.
