He is a talented guy, but everything I ever hear from him just gives me this vibe of a high school guy trying to get in a girls pants. Everything just sounds kinda sappy to me. Just my .02.

That sums it up really well for me. But it mostly applies to his earlier work. I thought that Continuum and the Trio stuff was going to be a turning point for him but the new material sounds more like pre-Continuum to me.

I agree with you on that about his lyrics. I wish he would either sing about different stuff or sing less because his guitar work is incredible, but the sappy always about a girl songs definitely turn me away sometimes.
