I am glad I came across this thread. I am having the exact same issue it seems. 2013 F150 5.0 4x4. I only have 40k miles. It is growling when coasting and decelerating. Of course when I took it to the dealership it doesn't make the noise. If you figure out I'd like to know. I'm going to the dealership again next week and would like something to tell them.

UPDATE: Truck is still at the dealership. They can't tell exactly where my oil leak is coming from so they haven't even started looking at the noise from the front end.
