She's right, they are not a priority and they should never be a priority of the federal government. Reproductive rights are not the priority of the federal government, they are your own personal priority if you wish. And guess what? You can frick any consensual human being you want before, during and after the Trump administration. Your reproductive rights won't be impacted at all.

No shite. But you're deluded if you think the sexual behavior of poor people will suddenly change. The stupid people have always been the biggest breeders.

The Feds funding planned parenthood has nothing to do with this. By law, federal money can't be used on abortions. Keep up the talking points, though.

Right. Because you are going to stop people from having sex. Talk about realistic expectations and pragmatic solutions to the real issues.

This article is about defunding international PP.

However, since PP in the U.S. does abortions they shouldn't receive any federal dollars.

There's no getting rid of it, it isn't a governmental entity.

He actually got the white woman vote, and I believe a lot of the reason for that was Hillary not rebuking the idea of late term abortions at the debate. White women are already in our ranks. We all know minorities vote tribally more than other demos so winning them over is a lost cause anyway.

I just read the article...and since I know most of you didnt....

quote:

President Donald Trump reportedly plans to sign an executive order this weekend reinstating the “Mexico City policy,” banning foreign aid from going to nongovernmental organizations — like the International Planned Parenthood Federation — that offer abortions.

The policy could be re-established as early as Sunday, according to a report from Foreign Policy, the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade. The Republican policy, also known as the “global gag rule,” was put in place by former President Ronald Reagan’s administration in 1984 in Mexico City.

Ever since, Republican and Democratic presidents have been playing a game of policy ping-pong with the mandate. The policy was lifted by former President Bill Clinton in 1993, then reinstated by former President George W. Bush when he took office in 2001. Eight years later, former President Barack Obama overturned the rule.

I read it too, but am honestly unaware of the impact it would have on U.S. Planned Parenthood.

PP is a private organization. Regardless of your abortion views, you should not want it funded by the government.

Also, with Obamacare, why is PP even needed? It's like we add layers, and don't remove the previous layers.

Yay! More unwanted babies that will be murdered or severely abused whilst we foot the money for their births, food, and mamas lifestyle.

BTW, many PP locations do not perform abortions. The one in downtown fricking Atlanta doesn't.

Never have figured out why Republicans are pro-cervical cancer.

Weird.

He would reauthorize their funding IF they stop giving abortions with tax dollars.

As would every other Republican.

its cost Texas 350 million dollars in associated cost to defend PP in their state, and that doesnt include the unpaid healthcare cost associated with lost access by women without insurance and/or the means to pay
