only 100k miles and 4 years and I might have to replace the motor on a $50k truck? Yeah I'm complaining

Only a Ford guy would think that was an accomplishment.

I have two jeeps with over 200k on the engines, still going strong (did have to rebuild a transmission). We had a Highlander with over 250k when we sold it and only did routine maintenance. So yes, with the advancement of lubricants and engine technology, any engine that is properly maintained that fails under 200k is a huge disappointment.

You realize this isn't 1970 right? Most truck motors in GM and Toyota gas burners are getting 200k+ without issue. This is just another testament to Ford's "superior" technology. Ram and Ford fanbois should just work out a deal where at 100k one of them gets the Ford tranny to go with the Ram motor and then they burn the one with the Ford motor and Ram tranny.

Dude, this isn't the 1960's I would expect any new car to go 200k.
I have 190k on my truck, 255k on my van.

You've got to be kidding. 200k is my minimum expectation these days if I keep good oil in it
