Wonder what the local turnout was for both?

It's a combination of DC being massively Democrat, the fact that middle class conservatives have jobs, the lack of a massive coordinated bus route system to DC
DC, Baltimore, Philly, Pittsburgh and New York. DC made up the bulk of the crowd in 2009, but those other cities were well represented, all heavily democrat.

Trump supporters are smart enough not to waste time and money to watch an event in person a mile from the stage in the cold, when they can see it perfectly well from the tv in their home?

Substantive actions versus symbolic gestures?

Maybe we should compare the rioting and destruction between the two events. That's more telling than the turnout.

But I thought Trump said all the jobs were gone and that's why republicans voted for him?

You baffoons and your circular logic.

As much as the whole replicans have jobs and Democrats don't sounds like an exaggerated joke, it's pretty fricking true.
No, it isn't true at all, and it's fricking stupid if you actually believe it. Go take a poll at Harvard and Hillary wins in a landslide. Not every Democrat is a jobless black person. And I guarantee you that Trump had the white trash vote locked down.

This sort of stupid fricking mentality underscores exactly why our political system is doomed.

Big crowds were a primary theme of Trump's campaign, if you're looking for relevance.

The crowd of those there to protest was not as large as expected according to NPR earlier today. Perhaps the weather, perhaps the media-overhype, and certainly the concervatives as a whole are less likely to take off work to go see the event.

No, but every jobless black person is a Democrat. And there are twice as many unemployed black people per capita.

So, you would still despise Trump and call others that support him a sell out if he indeed focuses on education, jobs and criminal reform in the urban areas?

IF he did that, I wouldn't despise him. But he's not. He's a rich white man and the only thing rich men care about is power and money. He doesn't give a single solitary frick about the working class. The man lived in a damn gold tower, he's never not been rich. So if you want to believe this bull about him caring about the inner city and the working class be my guest, but I don't.
