I can't play MMO's anymore, there's just not enough time. But I do miss the experience. From what I have played lately it isn't worth it anyway. The only one that vaguely interests me outside of GW2 is FFXIV, but that's almost too old now.
My thoughts:
Tier 1
Everquest - The best. The wild west. Played from launch and my first character was a bard and the fact that we were in that exploration phase and created twisting was something I'll never forget. GOAT game experience.
Dark Age of Camelot - Best PvP straight up
City of Heroes - Best story and best community/events/most unique character building
Guild Wars 2 - Best Overall game I just never had the time, this was the last one I played.
LOTRO - Best narrative experience and world building. At least until they want FTP which didn't work. The one game that was completely worth the subscription.
Tier 2
Guild Wars
Eve
Ultima Online
Star Wars Galaxies
Vanguard
Tier 3
RIFT
EQ 2
Warhammer
The Secret World
DCUO
Tier 4
Neverwinter
D&D Online
Star Trek
Horizons

Runescape - GOAT /thread... jk but will hold special place in my heart because of childhood.
Silkroad - anyone else play this back in the day as well? Was also fun
Age of Conan- enjoyed it but could never stay playing it consistently.

Let me add:
God Tier
FFXI - Just hands down the best MMO of it's time
Everquest - Easily as good as XI, but I enjoyed XI more
Tier 1
Add FFXIV and remove Everquest (to put in God Tier)
