I stop just short of saying that it is embarrassing because that implies that I do not expect such a reaction from my beloved fan base.

Forever the little brother, we cheer louder at the downfall of our foes than at our own successes. We revel in their misery instead of focusing on our own ascent.

The worst part is that most of the fan base really does not "hate" Alabama....they ENVY the hell out of them. They want the Alabama program with a burning passion. They want the success and to rub it in the face of every other fan, just like Bama fan does and we ridicule to no end.

Thus is life. It will probably never change.

Geaux Lil Bros. Today is YOUR day. Your God (Bama) does bleed.

This isn't just an LSU thing. The majority of the country is tired of UA.

Trust me I cheer louder when LSU wins, but you're not going to take this away from us. Nice try though. Now everyone carry on with rejoicing

Ideally, these things are not mutually exclusive. You're reaching.

retarded....simply fricking retarded. Fans should be focusing on the ascent instead of enjoying Bama's fall lastnight? What difference would that make?

Its college sports, its ok to enjoy your rivals' failures, in fact its encouraged. But carry on with your cool thread

I think it's fine to enjoy a rivals loss; however, I, like you, don't understand why some on here get more excited watching Bama lose than us actually winning.

I'm glad to see the karma of Bama come around to finally bite them in the arse. Meaning, with how many times unfavorable calls have hurt their opponents in close games it's nice to see it come back around.

This isn't exclusive to our fan base though. The Bama fans that are melting right now are just like our fans who are trolling them.

If the tables were turned, the lsu trolls now would be the lsu melters. I would just laugh at anyone trying to shite on LSU for losing the NC because we've dominated almost every team for the past 5+ years. Again, this is assuming LSU is in Bama's position. Winning 50% of the Nattys over 8 years would leave me with plenty to feel good about when taunted by a fan whose team hasn't been able to beat us 6x in a row.

Don't you think you have that backward? Leading up to last night's game, the SEC Rant was a troll-fest of bama posters starting up or replying to posts about LSU. It was pretty embarrassing...

I agree with the OP and have been noting for years the Bama obsession on this board.

Until we're able to beat Bama consistently, the obsession will unfortunately continue about evil Saban, SEC home office bias, referee bias, Bama has more money, etc, etc, etc.

And it's pathetic.
