Well if you are referring to jobs staying in this country, the decision makers at the companies making the announcements are saying that Trump is why.

In other areas such as preservation of Carrier and other jobs, Obama specifically had said there was nothing he could do. Trump stepped in and immediately made it happen.

He shouldn't get credit for everything positive but many of the business decisions by big companies have been credited to Trump and his economic policies. CEOs and other bigwigs in the companies have credited Trump, themselves.

He's not getting credit for everything, just most of the good stuff.
Maybe you know how Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize? Anticipation of future ineffective liberal foreign policy. Why is the stock market reacting so positive to Trump? Anticipation of future competent economic policy. Both are correct in their anticipation.
