Looks like he is trying to make you go broke. Those seem quite pricey.


Eta: if using switches, you need to check if you have neutrals currently. Having no neutral at the switch limits your brand choices.

Yes it might be pricy but the switch/dimmers don't need to be replaced and will work with just about anything when paired with a smart bridge pro. They have parts for homes with and without neutral wires.

Basically the Lutron would just be a whole home lighting control system that you can trigger with Alexa. Lots of good info on their website. You won't find a better product for lighting.
