Your assertion that just because the Spurs have Pop make them a contender is even more laughable. I remember when okc was up 20 in the second half of the closeout game there were still people posting that pop has something up his sleeve. Or that pop would figure it out. 
When it was clear as day they were done. Pop needs championship level players to win title. If you can't see that they don't have that now. And didn't last year. Then you don't have much of an eye for hoops TBH.
