PhilipMarlowe, did you ever get this issue fixed? Now that you made this post, I continue to see the same big "blooming" spots on my TV too. Did you end up returning the TV or keeping it?

Itso not an issue. It's the only downside to this scren. Check out rtratings. The TV gets a low score in this aspect
