I made the "mistake" of buying a prime ribeye at Rouses a while back and grilled it myself---it was tender as butter. I had bought prime steaks at steakhouse before but had always bought choice for my own use. I couldn't bring myself to pay $20 for a ribeye from the supermarket before and now that I have done I am ruined.
It is hard to finish steers to prime grade. I think it almost luck and the packing houses pull it out when they see it.

Grass fed beef is the natural diet of the animal, it can be very good, ....but no one can tell me a good "grain-finished" beef steak isn't the best every once in a while.
