We already have the #1 QB for 2018 and are the leader or favorite of 20+ top 100 players
That's basically taking the best recruiting stretch of all time(Alabama) and absolutely shitting on it. Shitting on it is an understatement.
It'd be the equivalent of seeing Ali fight, and then a week later someone comes around who beats Ali with 1 arm.

What are Michigan fans expecting their class to look like?

Well next year is a better year inside Ohio at the top. 2-3 5* type guys and 7 guys who are good 4* plus. 2017 was a 5* and the next guy was a 94.
I can't imagine OSU has the success in Texas they had in 2017 ever again

I mean yea it's possible, but OSU has 3 of the top 6, and could be 4 if they could pull Wilson. I'm not sure there's ever been a year where one school has pulled 50% of the top kids in a state like Texas out of the state, much less out of the entire region of the country.
I expect OSU to take 8 or so Ohio kids next year, as opposed to the 5 or so they are likely taking this year.

We will probably end up with at least 7 Ohio guys in this class, maybe 8.

I don't really keep up with recruiting. We're currently #4 on Rivals. I'm thrilled about Donovan Peoples-Jones. I've watched a few of his high school games and the kid is unreal. His ability to get open and strong hands reminds me of O'dell Beckham and Steve Smith. He's so elusive and quick.

I should have phrased differently, OSU is likely going to take 2-3 Ohio kids late to fill the class. I think there are 7-8 they really want in 2018 so they may end up with 10+

Just got a commit from the top JUCO CB for 2017.
A former 5-star Alabama recruit, Kendall Sheffield.
He might enroll early and will battle for a starting role next year.
And Ohio State moved into the 247 2017 composite lead over Alabama.

They'll get another Oline (Benton from VA) but I'm sure it stings to lose Najee Harris and Isaiah Wilson. Those are the elite players they need to start landing.

With a commitment from the nation's No. 1 ranked JUCO cornerback Kendall Sheffield, Ohio State moves back to the top of the 247Sports Recruiting Rankings.
The Buckeyes and Alabama have been jockeying atop the standings in the 2017 cycle but make no mistake whose class is better, pound for pound.
OSU's class is hovering close to an average ranking of 96.0, and never in the history of 247Sports has anyone finished at over 94.
