quote:

The largest police union in the U.S. demanded that Amazon remove a shirt from a third-party vendor that supports the Black Lives Matter movement. The Fraternal Order of Police wants the online retailer to follow Walmart and remove a shirt that sports the words “Bulletproof: Black Lives Matter” across the chest, The Guardian reported Friday. Walmart removed the shirt from its store after the union called it “offensive.” FOP President Chuck Canterbury wrote in a letter to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to support the union in “increasing the bonds of trust between the men and women of law enforcement and the communities they serve.”

Who wants to give me odds Bezos tells them to F/O.

I hate the whole BLM movement, but this is bullshite. If Amazon wants to sell them, then they should. I hope they don't cave in to this whining.

I hope he tells them to F Off. Conservatives want to complain about PC culture and then have t shirts that hurt their feelings removed from shelves. Hypocritical pussies.

I'm not going to be able to participate in a boycott of Amazon. That free two day shipping has allowed me to physically enter a WalMart maybe ten times in five years. I can't give that up.
But good luck and frick Bezos.

Meh. This isn't how you do things. Just stop using Amazon.

Then again, if they're going to remove Confederate flags because they're offensive, then removing BLM items would be ideologically consistent.

frick those cops. That's no better than college students putting out a list of demands, to include safe spaces, because they get their feelings hurt.

Shameful. They will lost a lot of respect over this. What happened when cops were men, not overweight crybabies like this.

Hopefully they tell them to pound sand

Now let's watch as dozens of supposed "conservatives" post in support of this.

While I am cool with Amazon selling whatever, BLM is an extremely racist group that is teetering on the edge of being a terrorist organization.

This is where I disagree. It's Amazon's right to sell them. Cop killer shirts are one thing but this is legit political protest. Come on.

"Demanding" a business do something like this is always pathetic.

F.O.P. leadership should be less offended and act like grown men here.

I checked - there are All Lives Matters shirts (ETA: and Blue Lives Matter merchandise) on there, too.

So, failing to find hypocrisy, I have to let freedom of speech win here.

The FOP should not have asked for anything. They were the "bigger person" in this argument. Now they look just as petty.
