Whatever bro. I seem to have a hit a nerve here and I have no idea where. I think I really pissed you off when I implied that you are a true Trump supporter I guess. My b.

Trump isn't helping either when he says he won in a landslide.

Philosophically, he did.

Everyone, including many in Trump's own camp, thought it was going to be at least close. He utterly dominated her in on the Electoral map.

Then Jill Stein had her silly recounts, Trump won by even more votes with his extra votes being a landslide compared to Hillary's.

Then there was the actual Electoral College vote where Clinton had 4 times as many Electors refuse to vote for her than Trump did. To put it in perspective, no other candidate has had so many of their own Electors vote against them since 1808. Another philosophical landslide.

I have a pretty good feeling that if California were audited the Clinton "popular vote" would shrink quite a bit.

the reaction to my inane posts stating that this event is statistically interesting has been surprising in its intensity even on TD poli standards.

Eh, it's probably a combo of folks on here knowing you're liberal and eager to argue with one. Happens to the best of us, myself included

Yeah I guess I should started by defining "trivial" Highly subjective. My bad.

Still, it is unprecedented to have such a margin in PV and EV results..

It's fascinating, and will become even moreso from an historical perspective as this election recedes into the rearview mirror. My kid will study this year's election in high school. Crazy to think about.

He did. Wins are judged by electoral votes and he won those in a landslide. What's so confusing to you?

Here's the rub...it doesn't fricking matter!

Meh, it doesn't matter as far as who occupies the white house but it absolutely matters in the context of legitimacy. He lost the popular vote by the largest raw vote total in American History for a president -elect. For this reason he will always be viewed as illegitimate by many American people. So yeah there's nothing we can do about him "winning" but sorry there's absolutely nothing you can do about him viewed as the most illegimate president in American history. He knows this too...that's why he whines about it on twitter so much.

My kid was still nursing in the hospital after being born while the results were being counted. Definitely a year to remember.

For the record, I for one have accepted the results and I am hoping that (as usually happens when conservatives are in office) the reality of leading the country gives way to moderation.

Such Americans are wilfully ignorant.

Incorrect. I will mercilessly mock anyone who displays their wanton ignorance in such a manner.

These are very stupid people.

The rest of us can't really solve their stupidity for them.

To be fair, there really isn't much we can do about their stupidity.

We can mock them and should. But, that won't fix the stupid.

That's my stance whenever a liberal is in office. I think that's about the best you can hope for, tbh. And it's healthy.

You can mock just like your childish idol you love so much. Doesn't matter. He's still going to be viewed as the most illegitimate president in history. Sorry.
