Lionel Turner was anything but fast. You're thinking of someone else, mate

Played virtually no linebacker at LSU, moved to DE during his sophomore year and started there the rest of his career.

Replace him with Eric Hill

2001 had to be the best collection of lb talent ever at lsu.

'86 had Michael Brooks, Eric Hill and Toby Caston along Oliver Lawrence, Verge Ausberry and Ron Sancho. Pretty strong case for that group.

I only used him because he is listed as a de/lb and played some olb in 3-4.
I agree he is mostly considered a de but in the de thread some people were counting him as an olb.

Why dont actually try to discuss the op instead of critiquing other people's posts? Im not sure why or when i got under your skin but id like to extend an olive branch and apologize for being a loud obnoxious cajun. It's in my dna and i cant help it at times.

He was 260 and the fastest 40 he ran was 4.8. Not bad for 260. Not flying either

I'll never forget the NCG. Turner flew in on delayed blitz. Jason White never saw him coming. Effectively put the game on ice.

Shoud have said quick instead of fly, true. But quick short distance speed and good instincts. Great overall rusher for his size.

Sorry, I didn't google like most of you. Went off the top of my head. I would put Faulk ahead of Sheppard but didn't think of him at the time. But Sheppard had a nice career at LSU, he wasn't the scrub some of you are suggesting.
